Block Z, Equatorial Guinea – 2014 summary

MALABO, Equatorial Guinea — RoyalGate Energy announced in February 2014 that it had acquired 129 square kilometres of 3D legacy data for Equatorial Guinea’s Block Z. On February 24, RoyalGate Energy signed a contract with Geoex International to acquire 600 square kilometers of 3D seismic data using the BGP Prospector vessel.
The seismic data shoot was completed on March 13 and data processing began at the facilities of DownUnder GeoSolutions (Dugeo) in London on March 24.
On July 9 and 11 RoyalGate Energy and its partners held technical and operating committee meetings in Houston, Texas, in order to review the 2014 year-to-date work program and expenditure, and a proposed 2015 work program and budget.
Dugeo completed seismic data processing on August 13, and data interpretation by Exploration Reservoir Consultants (ERCL) in London began on August 20.
